Yeah normally people don't just change skin tone half way across their bodies so thats what made sense to me c: Besides which I had envisioned the character with dark skin before I settled on how her fur would be. When I decided on black fur I realized that the deer's skin tone would naturally be dark as well so it all tied together and made sense haha. Not that you couldn't make a dark skinned and light furred deer as well but that's just how I wanted her to look.
Skeletons and skulls go well with the punk aesthetic as well as the idea that if you like one type of modification (piercings) you probably like others (shaving hair... mohawks are related to punk culture as well which is a similar concept i guess).
