it has become invaluable to me - but this will be the first time going without a job at home as a cushion so Im not getting the big fun passes and will hopefully make it worth the flight.
do you get a lot of freelance work from it? when i went, i was definitely not ready for professional work
well, the last few times i wasn't really looking for work, i was mostly going to learn and find friends. but i know what you mean. every year that passes i look back and think "how did i think i could land work with THAT portfolio?"
Speaking of which - what do you find is the best method to get freelance artwork? Do you plan on going to any other cons this year?
don't really do cons, and im not not good enough yet at finding work to brag about it - but had a few contacts that helped me find work and posted on some forums.
