say, I wanna know more about that girl, Monami Komai O_o. Do you have a profile of her in your site??

And oh, still, your welcome   but all what I said is true y'know TwT it became really useful~

Actually at the moment there isn't a profile for her because at the time I didn't know enough about her myself ^^; I was missing the 4th Book for quite awhile since it was sold separately to the main boxset here in the UK. However in my re-design I'll be adding a profile for her, like Miyu she gets overlooked despite being quite an interesting character. I'll PM you when the new site is done :)

Sounds fine to me!! xD oh..also one question. The three boys that bullied Yuri, Tomoya, Namiki and I forgot the other, are they such a character in the manga? I mean, do they have something interesting?

Unfortunately they aren't developed a great deal further in the manga. The anime missed out a few sections from the book and (just under) a half that it covered but for the most part the bits it did cover it did so pretty closely/accurately. There is even a 4th boy who is mysteriously never seen again, probably a good fanfiction loophole lol. I think the first 3 boys were supposed to be a bit 1 dimensional. It makes it easier for them to become addicted to the aliens and be totally controlled by the aliens because they have nothing more interesting to their lives, or so they think anyway. They were just trying to do a bit of escapism like Kumi and Kasumi. The 4th and final book has another boy pop up though as a flashback story that proves pretty interesting. I think it'd be a good way to have another book series of Alien Nine though, with boy characters for a change. Although maybe females are better borg hosts cos of the womb, or maybe I shouldn't think about that... lol.

Womb? What about the womb?? O_o'' what do you mean?? Gosh, I'm really late. I wanna know more >_____<! And the thing you said that those boys are like only escaping their real lives is very logical. I mean, hey, I didnt noticed that. Its quite obvious of who or what those characters portray. Why are they escaping by the way? Kumi, Kasumi, those guys... whats up?? What does Tomizawa (is it tomizawa <.<'' ) wanna tell his readers?

lol the womb thing was kinda joke. But actually I think there might be a scene in the manga that refers to reproduction being important but now I can't find it so I'm not sure.

Well even watching anime is a form of escapism really. The boys each only have 1 hobby in their lives and not much else (one plays trumpet, one likes computers and the other likes food). So they try out aliens as a bit of thrill to expand their hobbies. If they were science fiction fans I'm sure running around controlling an alien might sound like a bit of fun fantasy outside of their normal 'dull' lives. But the alien type that they are given is known to be addictive and so, at least for the boys, it becomes a bit like a drug addiction.

For Kumi and Kasumi, they have a few things that they're escaping. Kasumi generally is avoiding confronting the loss of her brother by putting everything of herself into continuing on with her award-winning activities. Kumi is avoiding responsibilities, others always depend and look to her, like being school president or looking after her mom. So for both of them Alien Fighting is a nice little time-consuming activity and something out of the norm to fill the lonely holes in their life. Hence why the Yellow Knife chooses loneliness.

I don't think Tomizawa had a particular message, he just wanted to portray realistic characters with real human flaws and realistic aliens. There is an interview at the end of Book 2 with him and he says a little about his reasonining for the story. He says to him the brutal/violent scenes in the book had nothing to do with anything like child abuse, childhood trauma etc. but that mainly he was trying to think of things from an alien's simple, animalistic and sometimes brutal perspective. And likewise for the characters, to look at it from a child's perspective.

But I think that everyone is allowed to take their own view on it. As some may identify with certain things and if it allows them to enjoy the story more by looking at it a different way then I think that is great. And it is fun to speculate and debate on what can be drawn from such stories.

hmm... I see >.< Well, agree about the part of having your own interpretations c: I think, thats what makes it very unique. But the more they tell me about it, the more I feel that Tomizawa's hiding something xD Like the movie; Cloverfield.

Gosh, I remember my times when I used to watch Alien 9. What made me depressed or at least got caught up with the mood and situation is the last episode, the one with Yellow knife >___< Honestly speaking, I got frightened of him?! O_o'' y'know why? My weakness is loneliness too. I think, thats one of the reasons why I've loved Alien 9. coz, I think I can relate to it somehow especially to the characters. ^^ like Kumi and Kasumi. hey...speaking of episode 4...

What happened to Kumi??

I've seen Cloverfield too. Interesting movie.
Aw, well not to worry, I think Yellow Knife only attacks if it feels threatened. If it had landed out in the countryside or nearby woods instead of being dumped on top of the school it probably wouldn't of hurt anyone.
If you don't mind spoilers I write a bit about the anime ending/Kumi in the Questions section of my site, but I'm going to be modifying that page in the next update, however I think the whole ending/Kumi answer will be unchanged:
