I'm not defending plagiarism.. I'm defending human rights.
and being "called out" on things is a very light statement of 'ruining someone's career and mental health'.

If you were to go to a shop and steal a magazine, do you think it's okay for the people form that shop to kick you relentlessly, by their own verdict of righteousness?

You have a point I can agree on, certain actions should have adequate consequences, but it's the internet and as you say it does tend to act like a lynch mob, things here get out of hand pretty quickly. I was just pointing out that although you have a point, you've chosen poor argumentation.

w.. what? are you trolling? if some one steals from you or breaks into your house you have the right and the option to either call the cops or beat the crap out of them. So what the hell are you even blathering on and on about?

if you steal a magazine from somebody expect to get kicked repeatedly, its motive not to do it again, or not to do it at all in the first place. Do... do you even live in the real world suzane? or are you in some parallel sjw universe you made up in your head full of sunshine and rainbows where nothing bad ever happens... come on

Not in my country you don't XD yes you can call the cops (which is a private thing and not a: lets post his face in the newspaper thing) and we're not allowed to harm the person!

Your morals are on a very different place than mine XD ! But in Europe we deal with things differently.

it's really absurd.. because you're condoning violence and the right to play judge and jury.

"i need a judge and jury to decide and dictate whats right and wrong and my outcome in life"

wow, that says a lot about you and your country. Thats why america is and will always be #1. We are adults and humans that are able to decide whats right and wrong in the heat of the moment, and both before and after as well. Everyone here is responsible for there own actions and if you fuck up you get fucked up, so dont do stupid shit and you will be alright. Thats the american way Suzan.

Thats why America is the best and most powerful country in the entire world. I dont know if your proud to be progressive euro fodder, but im very proud to be an american. We are a very proud and powerful people. Fighting and violence are real, people have always been and will always be able to act violent and do violent things, even in your country, and everyone, as a human, has the right to defend them self, and you dont need a judge and jury for that. Just saying

Xd oh wow, thats delusional XD you sound like you live in the medieval times.

America is by far not the most powerful country in the world XD and is behind on many things, economically, socially, scientifically XD. Every nation/country has their strong objectives, I don't think there is a number 1 best country. But it sounds like you're a very black and white thinker.. no middle grounds.. just extreme ends.

But let's not discuss politics.

I do know that if I'd ever meet you in person I don't wanna know what happens if we disagree on things XD, because you seem to be quite aggressive in your reasoning.

That person's claim is the reason I fear for my country's future... Too many Americans are aggressive and throw out the "greatest country in the world" thing and talk about "American pride" when faced with the ideas of other countries. Violence is never the right answer, especially when it comes to just going in and attacking someone. I hate plagiarists and art thieves, but it's not for an entire community of one side to band together and hurt them over. It should be discussed privately and, if necessary, claims can be filed by the artist. ;;

thank you :D i'm happy to see than plenty of american's are very normal and reasonable
Jesse-the-art-maker's avatar
its not aggression its fact, and in real life if you disagree with me nothing would happen because everyone is entitled to there own ideas and opinions. So its cool.

you in real life at comic con or something: "your wrong and your full of shit and your art work sucks jesse!"

*and then you flip my table over and act like a crazy girl

me in real life" "hahahaha lol, ok"

and then i fix my table and talk about how crazy that suzan lady is after she left the scene

thats it, because were all responsible adults here.

and i agree, i dont like politics either, just pointing out the obvious.
Suzanne-Helmigh's avatar
so you're more extreme on the internet than you are face to face?
Jesse-the-art-maker's avatar
if pointing out the obvious and stating facts is "extreme" then yeah, thats a fair assumption. But its the same for everybody, nobody is exactly how they are online in real life. That much should be blatantly obvious and some kind of form of common since.
