I know, I've been trying but sometimes I just find it difficult to swallow that I'm actually receiving a compliment for my art, when there is AMAZING art out there~

Trust me, people's opinions change when artists push away compliments, I've seen stuff about it everywhere, even in cute little comics labelled "how to become a well-known artist" and stuff, I'm not trying to sound rough on you, but you should try be a li'l more accepting to compliments on your art that IS great.
