Comment on silmarillion: Curufin and Celegorm by MathiaArkoniel
I had no idea you liked The Silmarillion. If you were to paint more Silm elves, well... not that I'm not already in love, but. That would be it for me.
If you think about it, Curufin is actually one of the more tragic brothers, because he never made anything of himself despite having what I assume is great talent inherited from Feanor. What did he ever do that people remembered? At least Celebrimbor has the Rings on his resume. Not that I'd be too proud of that accomplishment, but er.
My favorites are Maglor and Maedhros - two others who are always mentioned together, and who seemed to be great friends.
I've always been interested in their relationship with Elrond, as well. Even started to write a fanfic about it, but that never went anywhere. :/ Someday I'll finish it... maybe.

Oh, I used to absolutely adore the Silmarillion (elves... always elves), back in 2000-2006, but then my like for it all faded. It recently came back, out of the blue, but now it's gone again. It's really an 'on and off relationship'. Lol. But I always only cared for the elves... and maybe Sauron and Melkor, but not much for the rest of the races, sadly.
I agree with you on Curufin. He IS one of the more tragic brothers, because he failed to be much of anything, kicked out from a city, humiliated, and he even lost his sons respect.
I absolutely love Maglor and Maedhros too. I hope to paint them one day as well, but I am not sure when my inspiration will come back.
