"Letters" is just the most fascinating book. I'm always recommending it to people who want to understand Tolkien's world and his writing, and its probably given me more insight than any other book of his.
Yeah, I've only read so far a few letters from the book plus the ones that were added as an introduction to my copy of the Silmarillion, and I really don't regret buying the book.
BTW, did you know that Christopher Tolkien is to release very soon a new complete version of the Narn i Hin Hurin?
