Yep! I didn't get good at recognizing voices until way later on after Moo Mesa had aired (and I never grew up with Bravestarr), but I've done that before, mistake one voice actor for another. One time I was under the impression for a while that SAVO the computer from Danger Rangers was played by Jonathan Harris of  Lost In Space fame, but nope. Charlie Adler doing a pretty good Dr. Smith impersonation.

I think I've heard of Cudley before (talk about thinking outside the box when it comes to character concepts XD). He would work for a concept like that.

LOL. As awful as YouTube comments can be, sometimes someone will leave a comment that is just golden. =D

I used to think Jeff Bennett was Griff, because he does a good English accent, and because he voiced practically every other incidental male character. :XD:  He also did a dead-on impression of Gary Owens for the Scooby Doo: Mask of the Blue Falcon movie.

I think he's an idea born of desperation and/or recreational substances. :XD:

Yeah, and then someone pulls the video for copyright, and he comment gets lost.  There needs to be a website, if there isn't already, for highlighting YouTube comments that are actually good. :)

I can't remember what Griff sounded like (aside from being British), but that's an easy mistake to make. Jeff Bennett is everywhere. I haven't seen that movie (I was mad it wasn't an actual Dynomutt/Scooby crossover, lol), but I might have to check it out just to catch Bennett's Gary Owen's impersonation.

XD What wasn't in the 80s (am I correct in assuming that that's the era from which Cudley hails?)?

Oh that's something I can't stand about YouTube. I don't think there is a site out there like that, but I can always look to see if there is. BTW, I recommend going to YouTube and reading the comments on cook Sandra Lee's videos. They're some of the funniest things in existence.

Yeah, I was sorry that it wasn't a crossover, either, since Dyno-Mutt was originally a Scooby spin-off; the gang appeared in the first episode.  It is a fun movie, just the same, though, with extremely familiar characters if you watched both shows and is another love-letter to vintage HB. :-)

I would have said that was more like the 70s, but it was just different drugs.  In the 70s it was fueled by weed and acid, and in the 80s (and late 70s), weed and cocaine. :XD:  But yes, Cudley does hail from the 1980s Archie TMNT comics (Archie also did the short-lived Moo Mesa comics, so there was always crossover potential). :-)

I don't know, the comments on a post of Lost Horizon's song "Highlander (The One)" might have won that award if they hadn't pulled it. :XD:

Yeah, I caught the Dynomutt/Scooby crossovers on Boomerang back when they were still actively airing old HB stuff. Well since you recommend it, I'll have to catch that movie the next time it comes on TV. It's also nice to hear that WB isn't completely shunning vintage HB.

Very true. So I was right about Cudley then. And there was a Moo Mesa comic? Was it any good?

Oh boo, YouTube! I would've liked to read them.

It's also got comic jokes and veiled Adam West references abound.

I don't know, I never read any.  I think a couple were just comic versions of episodes, but I think there may have only been four issues.  On a website that I haven't been able to find again, there were covers for issues that never were involving aliens.

Most of them involved the song causing the listeners to spontaneously get epic beards and their electronics turning into swords. :XD:  I think my favorite was, "everyone please rise for the Universe Anthem"
