You have very valid point on his coloring, it hurt to look at him. As for Sai and Ino I believe it was just a quick fix. Since shika and choji married other women. And yaoi was only suppose to be a gag. The ending in all seemed lazy somewhat. Not complaining about the pairings, but still a little bit more effort.
