I will look into the dpi, however the Optional text in windows update appear as buttons instead of hyperlinks is a thing that cannot be changed. Its forced that way in windows 8.
After looking into the issue. It seems to be ONE causing the issue. Removing ONE and rebooting makes the issue go away. So it might have something due to the custom DLL files its injecting.
that is something I cannot change. It might be because the way the custom theme is applied. I did not touch that section in the msstyle. I will look into it more but that might be something to do with an older msstyle being used on a newer up to date 8.1.
