I am going to take a look right now, I found the base we had created, but have to check is up to snuff: it's a June 2015 file O_o'!
Thanks for taking a look, I can't help but keep using my G2/V6 models lol

As you probably know, the problem though with G2/V6 is that while they were the current versions is when Daz3d went through the transition of adding Iray as an additional rendering option to the standard 3Delight engine.  So how it worked out, some G2/V6 items are Iray, some 3Delight which causes some complications sometimes lol.

Yes indeed!
We were already using PBR at the time, but since we mostly used Octane for rendering, we were exporting Diffuse/Specular maps as Octane didn't support the Base_Color/Metalness shaders most people use in Iray.
Since we ditched Octane for Iray, we're mostly using the Base_Color/Metalness workflow even though Iray can actually use both.
