Luv that movie. I've seen it so many times! I dunno if you've seen it enough times to remember what it says in the beginning before the movie really gets going... But it says that the story starts in Florida on the Twenty-fourth of April, and that's my birthday! (Only about 40-something years in the future.)
I actually haven't seen that movie, I just got a brief synop of it when we watched that scene for class. It was really interesting how they set up that whole shot, though!
you really need to see the whole thing to appreciate it. it is extraordinary in plot and cinematography. there are some really famous scenes where hitchcock actually invented new methods of taking shots. it's fascinating to be sure.
