This artwork deserves a semi-proper critique. I shall give one!

Please bear with me, this is not how a critique should be set up, rather, I will just note my own points rather than go by my the normal guide.

The Background: The colors presented in the background of the image are nice and represent a scene of action and great focus. Normally, in some action cartoons and movies, whenever a character is about to do something drastic or hit something or do something that involves a great deal of action, the background usually fades or rapidly changes to a brighter, more dramatic color. Now, your background colors of orange and yellow are quite dramatic to say the least, and because Twilight is about to hit something or cast a powerful spell from what it seems, this background fits perfectly. What would not have fit is something that represents an environment, due to the angle and position she is at, it would have been completely covered by her. Additionally, the background also helps to bring out Twilight herself and due to the contrasting colors, she is very easily visualized.

The Colors: The colors presented in Twilight's representation were very nicely chosen and placed. Her whole body retained her natural hue of purple, same thing with her other appendages.

The Lighting: The lighting presented in this piece is a little strange. On one side of the image, it is bright, while on the other side, it is noticeably darker. Considering the situation that she may be in, (The background looks like she is in a fire), the lighting should be consistent throughout, in which it is not. Another thing is that the light from her horn should illuminate more of the background as well though. That's all of the dislikes for the lighting. Now, the light from her horn was done very nicely and the other parts of her body that were lit up from it were done nicely as well.

Twilight Herself: I do really like what you did with Twilight. Her expression is flawless, giving off a sense of utter determination to end or defeat an enemy. Also, from the looks of it, it looks as if she is recoiling from an attack that her enemy had dealt. I think that this could be true because the way that her hair is flowing towards her and that she looked like she kicked something also helps with this theory. Also,  the wings are AMAZING. The sheer detail that went into her wings is outstanding. Not only that, but the sweat that is protruding from her also makes it seem that she is fighting a powerful foe. Tirek perhaps? Solar flare gone canon?

Detail: To make this simple and quick, the detail in this is amazing! All of the lines on the character are smooth and yet they provide so much detail! The extra scribble lines created throughout the piece makes it more hectic and battle-like.

Overall: While the lighting may be a bit strange, you have shown that you have put great effort into this. Your colors are well presented and chosen, Twilight looks great and is completely like a remake of GI-Joe, the detail is great, and the background, while it may be just two colors smashed together, is great as well! To simply put it, this piece of artwork is AMAZING! Keep doing what you are doing, you are a wonderful artist!

Total score: 46/50 (Each star equals 2 points)
