Garryts, thanks for the comment and fav! The cinema4d meshes are invaluable for keeping perspective in line. I really do have to look into the NPR options c4d has, the basic renderer seems like it might be a bit too simple for my purposes though. I blame my lack of experience, and lack of effort in searching for solutions online.

(I'll tell you a secret. This image was just a composite of 'Quick Shading' and 'Hidden Line' screen captures. I didn't hit render once) :0

Which renderer are you using? Cineman?

That's clever - I assume at a pretty high screen resolution?

I used the standard enhanced openGL viewport display for the screen grab. This project was actually started over a year ago (sep 04 2014) so my workflow was sort of shoddy. It wasn't even a full 1080p res screen grab, because it started out purely as a concept study for the detailing on the back surfaces on the Red Horizon. Back Redhorizon Docked
