but I think Bengus will always be a legend. Something must have gone down behind the scenes, maybe he was rushed... Bengus will always be one of my heroes who influenced me tremendously.

Yes, I agree that Bengus is a great artist but I do have to say that his quality has dwindled over the years. I was very surprised at the cover art he did for Udon's Capcom Fighting Jam and other works he has posted on his Facebook page.
After seeing them again, I can say that the only difference in the art from SF V "story mode" and his other recent works is not really on the quality but rather on the color and contour. It is pretty evident, like you said, that what was delivered in V was undoubtedly a rushed work but I do not see too much of a difference from that and his other works; his art style is the same with overly done proportions that look amorphous in both cases.
It is well known that Bengus has changed his style over the years on several occasions and that he knows how to draw in different ways, but his most recent development seems to be a devolution from what he was known for.
