There's some very, very gifted witches in Netheron, such as Esmeralda and Margarette. My original intent was to stick with only describing the ones who are gifted, but then I thought about the everyday witch and was like: with so many witches in Starrech, why would all of them be super powerful? Wouldn't that completely destroy the country? So then I decided that some of the witches needed to simply be everyday people Such as the parents of Ambelena c: What's interesting is that Marcilyn and Vevenon know how to repel against a witch's mind-control ability, using their own minds. It's an "ancient" Starrechian tradition that came about in the early 1700s, and it's continued to spread throughout regions of even Heneurock. c: Estelle herself is a witch too, but only with magical resistance and no ability to tap into any powers. She can repel spells easily, and she can't be affected by them unless she wills it to be.
