it be a good twist to find out the "Lord of Light" was really the Great other the whole time and corrupted many followers
To be honest I think a place like Westeros has no pantheon or maybe it does because of the supernatural. But I think it was forsaken long before the first men ever arrived because when you see a fantasy world that is that dark and twisted I can't help but cheer for the White Walkers.
