Comment on Gouache Brush Set for Manga Studio (Dry Brysh v.2) by RoastedStix

I notice you primarily make retro style cartoon art, which I think looks absolutely brilliant. Not to rip off your work in anyway but was there any specific book or something that taught you to draw in this retro style?
