That's something I noticed with your previous piece of the basal member of the Turtle lineage: you put even more care into textures and details than before ! I mean, this crocodile-like skin on your magestic Spicylpeus feels so real ! Like I could touch it or count every scale on its face ! Plus the work on the pupil (which shape is rather unique in paleoart) is incredible ! The detail and choice of color scheme reminds me a lot of John Sibbick's work. In other words, one of your most striking and "sensory" works to date !
