well, i paid the price in implementation complexity (over about a year), which is exactly what's keeping my app away from mass usability -- too much work on the engine and none on the interface the other trouble is that i can't release the code until i've published some kinda paper describing my methods, else it gets absorbed into the public domain and i fall even further into obscurity...
