Oh, ok! That makes more sense, although it would be kinda cool to see that sentenced on someone in the future. It reminds me of "gentling" from Wheel of Time (except it's just a silencing spell), the poor sods just end up wasting away 'cuz they lose their power. Although with all these crystals you have in your story, I wonder where they all originate from? Actually, even a lore post might be cool to help explain them all - might as well kill a bunch of birds with one stone, right?

All my mumbling aside, I'm really digging all of these ways you're explaining your fantasy-Pokemon universe, it's clever and fitting all at once : D
