But things like moles make more sense..or heck even a rat..or a slug..as rats do pose a huge danger to humans, are low life and have always represented not to great things. Slugs for the whole metaphoric thing. Just don't see a snake as a likely choice.

Assuming Genesis takes place probably in the Middle East as that's where Bible tales originate from..they're non venomous snakes out there as well. Lot of notable different species around that area aren't venomous. A lot of animals flee from humans, pose no threat to humans and are as seen as a species of peace and purity..why pick a diseased ridden bird? What kind of snake was Satan, a Cobra? Some kind of Viper? I'm assuming it has to be a species native to the area.

Bible stories don't make much sense, and sure yes I do view them from a logical standpoint. But I feel I must considering people believe these stories to be true..rather than fabric of imagination..where the metaphor excuse would be more relevant. It's like if I tried to tell you that leprechauns and fairies existed, pulled out a 'holy' text that has stories surrounding them..but said book was riddled with contradictions and metaphors...You know by logic and just simple understanding that those things do not exist.

But I sit there and insist they do exist by pulling out examples and verse out from my book. Why is Bigfoot any different than Angels. Why is God held higher than some other clear creation of human kind. Heck what about other Gods..like Zeus or something..why is he less likely (along with his text and stories) to be believed and real than God himself. Osiris..the being God was clearly ripped from?

Sorry to tangent and I don't meant much harm..I'm just trying to get an understanding on why people believe this stuff to be real. Even as a poet and writer myself, literature has to have a stand point of logic in it..so despite the pretty words and heavy tales..there's some understanding there. Not just a bunch of nonsensical writing thrown together in hopes people will get it.

That's called bad literature.

My signature example clearly details the idea of rape and protecting one from it. It's a poem laced with pretty words and metaphors.
But still very clear in it's message.
God's message isn't very clear, nor is it very poetic.

Thanks for trying to help regardless though.
I hope your mission is successful.

You know, I can respond to those objections you've raised, but there would be not much point. Whatever I say won't make you a believer, You simply don't believe in God (or, at the very least, that the Bible is inspired), and I'm really not into lengthy discussions that only lead to waste of time, both from your and from my side. :) We can go back and forth forever but neither of us really wants to do that.
Thank you for raising your objections, though. :-)

That's fine, I'm not looking much for an argument. But I do enjoy discussions on this subject for my own personal understanding. Thank you for your answers regardless. It is true I am not a believer of God. I used to be..but not anymore.

Apologies if I made you any uncomfortable within any manner.
Please have a pleasant evening.

Oh lol, you didn't make me uncomfortable, you were quite civil, and that is something I always respect.
I'm just an utilitarian, and don't have much time - otherwise, I could discuss whole day, sadly, I sorely lack free time... that Bible's not gonna draw itself. :D
