Hi! This is a comment from :iconprojectcomment:!

I think you made the person very recognizable as me who does not watch or follow Markiplier (I have seen him on vids only once, I guess) can identify him. This is very good considering you did not make the portrait very detailed, you only drew the basic and most important features. I think if you made this a little bit more detailed, it would be an absolutely great piece. However there are things to point out regarding the portrait: the face is a little bit off as for the eyes at least, they are not lined up. I know the head is tilted but the eyes still need to be on the same line. (To check this, use a ruler on your drawing and on the original photo, and check if the upper eyelid and the lower line of the eyes are on the same parallel lines. I cannot explain this better, but using a ruler or a pencil to check lines is a good thing you can do so as not to mess up a picture.) Another advice is that you should avoid using the lasso tool, it is not the best to paint portraits with. Using some sort of special brush for the hair (I mean the shading) and not just smudging and blurring it would be better but I don't know what program you used for this. I only know photoshop and I can't give you any advice about how to use other ones  I can say that for the clothes as well, don't use the lasso tool (if you photoshop) to color, it will make the figure look flat and not 3D. The lasso selection is a great tool but not for portraits, I guess.

You would also need to check some hand references as the hand was not included on the reference photo and hands are VERY hard to draw, even with ref pictures. I like the figures in the background, they are cute but you would need to either use some lighter colors for them or blur them out a bit so the focus should be more on Markiplier as here as is they are a little bit distracting. I hope this comment is somewhat helpful for you :)
