Tho is it bad to admit that I do like some vampire animes like Chibi Vampire and Rosario Vampire?
Those two are more like comedies nor do they glorify abusive relationships.
(even though one is a shoujo while the other is a harem BUT at least the ladies do care about the dude and don't treat him like shit like Love hina

I do miss vampires being horrifying, that would be one thing I do agree with Anne Rice with.
Personally, I don't mind different takes on vampire stories that aren't horror related as LONG as they aren't Twilight or Diabolik Lovers clones.
