Ummm... I'll have to update my technique in drawings the level of this contest was too high for me u.u
hahaha well I was just trying out my luck lol, I think its a matter of taste from the contest jury? your drawing style and skill is already awesome! more importantly, we had fun and express our emotion with our artwork 
of course there's always room for improvement for all of us, learning never ends . I choose soft airbrush just because I like it, not because it's right or wrong (I can imagine I do a lot of wrong things according to "art students" lol )

In special in this work I liked working with fire and the extra hours I take to select the right light zones. Besides the work of choosing a correct context/backgroun that allow me to use right color to contrast.
In addition, there will be always a difference between academic artist and self-educated artist. I think the first have mre contraints at the time but have more contacts (I mean teachers...) to be successfull.
