I thought Sa'dia would have been born a princess but when she was a baby her castle was invaded by an extremist faction (maybe her mother was not native of the kingdom and her father went to great troubles so he could marry a foreign) they killed the couple but her father's new soldier was able to get the baby out of the castle (I thought he would be a new recruit or something) he fled into the desert and stayed there for a couple of days, when the hunger started to hurt, the noble soldier decided to robber bypassers.
He hided from her the fact she was a princess so to protect her from the extremists that had took over the country but as she matured he told her and they decided to plan a revolution to make the princess rise again to her rightful place at the throne.
