this was very interesting, I really love vulpix; thanks for putting this together! I have to say that I don't like either of the two sprites on the bottom more than the other :'D.

They did this to so many pkmn. One of my personal favs is Chikorita, which used to be yellow on the very first Sugimori arts
OR BULBASAUR! It was blue back then and darn I loved it this way. But one of the things that confused me a lot is Golduck. It always was dark blue and then the Anime comes and BAMs a light neon freaking blue Golduck in our faces. xD" back then, I didn´t realize how many pkmn got color changes and I htink back then, they didn´t made it thaaat often but boah.. that darn Anime Golduck xD

the blue bulbasaur is really pretty
, but I would guess that they changed that one on purpose to be more distinct from the water-type coloration. /shrugs/. But I like that the blue bulbasaur was like a lily/aqua plant 'on top of the water' or something, before it got turned to greenish, because that was nice then <333
