The lens flare affect for the sun works really well for this drawing.

What sells this for me a bit more is the Grimm and shadows. No offense to how the Sea Dragon looked or acted in the episode, your interpretation just makes it feel more menacing. Adding more tearing and raggedness of its wings gives it a more devilish aspect than the "clean" arc-like lines at the bottom of the wings. Also, having the wings bigger than what was shown, makes it more threatening (similar to how some animals make themselves bigger in order to scare away predators or to show who is more dominant to their own kind).

Where the shadows are puts in more drama of what is happening (i.e. Blake fighting a Grimm that she has most likely never fought before). Correct me if I am wrong, with the Sea Dragon basically making most of the shadows on the boat and over Blake, shows its domination with the Grimm being high up in the right. (Also it helps that the water splashes. Again, show of power and how threatening the Sea Dragon is.)

My only/few gripes? Eh, mostly me being nit-picky; nothing bad. The sun is quite glaring, especially on screen, but probably not that bad when printed.

Overall, this piece from one of my favorite fighting scenes in Volume 4 is breathtaking and makes you pray for Blake to win . . . spoiler alert; she does (with the help of Sun and the ship crew).
