in all honesty i only used to the fullest in 2 pieces, the starbomb samus joke and in the Kizuna Ai pic, i can't deny the "depth" this adds but in my case it takes too much time D:

Hehe I did notice some of it! Every method you are not used to takes time to handle, but I have to say that my workflow isn't the fastest for sure, I should change allot about
Gradiemaps are adjustment layers that replaces the greyscale values with the colors chosen in the map, so if you want a certain time of gray to be pink it will, I wish I had the ability or a video to be clearer but I bet there is something outhere, and really it's not that important to know, being independent of them and using a whole other method is an option too, no matter what you do the end result is what matters in my opinion
