Comment on The Crawling City - Sorry! by Parororo
This comic is really amazing and awesome but what interests me is what is happening to the citizens of this place. Also Aria is really adorable and pretty just wanted to state that first.
Okay so my theory is the Gug is some form of evil monster and there's a army of them that is taking over the minds of the citizens. Here is my evidence
1) From Page 12 we know that Gug isn't the only tentacle monsters, there are clearly more.
2) Gug's costume of choice to wear when he goes out is a clown costume, now the crazy people that we've seen aside from the people that attack Aira are whom? The cashier in page 11 and the clown again in page 12.
3) Aria is seen as a although pretty, rather weak girl with people wanting to rob her or 'sell her' through out the comic but this is only done by people that don't resemble clowns.
4) Why exactly does Gug have a costume that fits Aria perfectly?
5*) The most important point, page 4, the page where Gug seems to be planning to 'rape' Aria(admit it this is what most of you though), but what struck me as weird was the artist's choice to not have any pulled down clothing, don't get me wrong I'm no pervy lesbo but if you want to give the impression of someone trying to rape failing the clothes and fabric around the girl's shoulder or her underwear/panties should be down at least a bit. But none of this is present rather in the last 2 panels his tentacles seem to only be in her ears DESPITE HIM RESTRAINING HER ARMS AND LEGS!
Of course this proves nothing. What didn't Gug finally control her the next night when she wasn't paying attention? I mean what good is there for not controlling her? Unless... there is? Page 5, likely taking place the next day, what happens? The pretty yet 'vulnerable' Aria gets attack by a armed man. Like baiting a fish. So here's my conclusion, Gug is part of a evil tentacle monster army that is taking over the town and although his original plan was to take control of Aria's body and likely use the costume and her body to attract more people to control he realizes that he can simply use her as bait to attract more people while enjoying some cereal to boot, who wouldn't? After all a random monster causing people to disappear might arise suspicion but a adorable little girl like Aria, people will probably think its some crazy yandere boyfriend protecting her which could also be the case if you wanna go there.

Haha this is awesome, it's awesome to see what people have to say or when they come with their own conclusions, it makes me feel like there's someone paying attention..! Hehe.
Now, personally I can't confirm much of this cause it'd be considered spoilers coming from me, but I'll comment what I can!
1) Good eye there, took long but there's indeed more monsters out there.
2) Perhaps clowns are popular in town~?
3) Well, one clown tried to lure her into a trap, too, can't say there if it's a strict correlation : P but good analysis.
4) Hahaha fanservice most likely (or maybe he knows her sizes too well (??) jk jk)
5) I know many people would think of a possible rape scenario, but, like you said, it was just a "Ahhh I know what you guys are gonna think about this!" moment, so, exactly, there wasn't any clothing pulling, and Aria doesn't react according to a rape attempt anyway, like you pointed out, the tentacles are in her ears.

I like to think Gug is the only nice monster in a city infested with bad ones.
But page 4 is an anomaly, It's a bit too far to be simply toying with her.

Well, it didn't have to be rape. When I first saw it, I thought he was either trying to be nice, and give you something enjoyable to see(As in, the nice world, with the creepy stuff only in the background(Possibly just a side effect of Gug doing to dream-altering)), or he was planning on trying to eat her.
