Better? This year was AWESOME! Just from the point of interestingness, it really was. For me this is very refreshing since most of the things and years aren't remotely noteworthy, mostly just boring. 
There were many bad news, yet at least as many good and fun news, don't you think? Secondly, do you think all of this had something to do with Lemmy being gone?  

About the ATTACKS: I really tried to look for potential victims, I even went to a shopping mall for some business of mine - bunch of people right? Somebody has to drop a mitten or slip? No. Nobody. The weather here is almost tropical with zero ice and snow, so I can't even rely on some grandpa slipping and falling on the street. But I kept my eye open. I kept a door open for a person three times, said hello and looked in the eye all the neighbors I saw (that's considered almost violent in here - and total amount of people: 5). So, a little frustrated to my achievements of the day, in the evening I went to the gym and hid a christmas card into the supply wagon of the cleaner lady (the wagon is in an unlocked closet). I think she is estonian, she barely never speaks a word and works hard. I see her almost every day, and every time she says hello or good morning to me. The only noises I've ever heard coming out of her. She seems very reclusive and sensitive person. I hope she doesn't mind my "intrusion", but breaks a little smile after she finds the silly card inside one of her rubber gloves.
