bottles of milk don't make themselves and Tia can lift a metal ladder with magical telecanisis... Tia is perfectly capable of feeding herself from this point forwards. Luna isn't. Luna NEEDS more attention than Tia right now. and the experince of being expected to do basic things like feeding herself is an important lesson. One Grace needs Tia to learn, as she can't do everything. It's only neglect from the eyes of a small child who doesn't understand.
Okay, I understand what you're trying to do now, BUT there is still a fatal flaw in this. TIA IS A YEAR OLD. She DOESN'T know how to use magic yet. She just does it at random. Just because she can, doesn't mean she knows how to yet. She STILL needs someone to teach her these things. Expecting someone to learn it on their own is not a guaranteed strategy. It works even less well if the one meant to learn is STILL A BABY. And no, her incredible smarts doesn't mean it's okay. She needs to be taught how things work, she can't just learn them on her own. She needs a jumping off point, she can't just be thrown into the wild like this.
Tia's been able to levitate since about page 3 book 1.
