I can't help but feel like very many of these sites stealing work and selling it are phishing sites -- More so when they know people will be very unhappy about their stuff being stolen and peddled off for pennies. 
Clever scheme but very immoral and completely illegal.

It is possible they are phishing for data as well, that's why I like the idea from Spudfuzzs journal better - to send DMCA to their internet provider. What will work though I don't know. Some people as I see gave up, because when they close one "campaign" another one appears.
