Bahalag is still an awesome game....I recommend you try it out.
I played it today, and I gotta say, it's one of the best overlooked SNES games ever made! It's too bad it suffered the same fate as Seiken Densetsu 3 when it comes to official localization, but hey, at least we have emulators! ^^
Thank goodness for fan games and fan translations.
