This is an imaginative landscape. A bit fanciful. No one in their right mind would build inside such obviously precarious landforms. It reminds me of the dreamscapes of the earlier issues of Heavy Metal. Very retro.

Look at contemporary urban landscapes and you'll find that the most unstable areas are where the slums and shanty towns are. Reimagine the scene with the best buildings in the most stable areas and the disreputable structures in the dodgy geology and you'll have a believable setting.
