I agree--I totally loathed the costuming in the movie. (Also wasn't keen on the girls' clothing in either movie--thought it looked heavy and uncomfortable, which Lewis makes a point of saying it was not).

So draw on, woman!

I was thinking that the girl's Narnian gowns should have been nice bias-cut pre-Raphaelite dresses-- like, medievalesque, but the way the costumes would have been designed in a 1930s movie (like "The Crusades"). That way, you would have had the medieval look, with modern comfort. The dresses did look like awkwardly made RenFaire gowns, didn't they?
