Yep I knew the backstory on Marilyn as I read descriptions.

Honestly with a character cool like this it reminds me sort of the Godzilla universe. The way the movies didn't have to make a ton of sense for them to be popular because the base design and idea is cool. The way that the stories could be weird and plot holes didn't stop it from being popular. She has a great design and to be honest having alternative versions of her story could still work. Meaning when convenient she could be regular human, and when convenient a backstory involving aliens could be convenient.

I do have a question though raptor. You much like me have backstories for their characters and spend a decent amount of time thinking about that. Also like me you don't have a lot of literature on said characters. I was wondering if that was due to the same reason as me wanting to have everything perfect before literature begins, or if you like other people I've known use the characters and their backstory in role plays.  Or if you fall under the infamous taco shell commercial of "Why Not Both?"
