But like Dc they will likely back peddle on and changes. I think comics should move forward. Falcon should be Cap, Kyle Rayner should be the Green Lantern, Wally West should be the Flash and many others to. We have reached a time in comics where the usual coming back from the dead shouldn't be always what will happen.
I agree 100%. I really liked the Iron Nail comic where Steve Rogers lost his youth and turned the mantle & shield over to Falcon and that comic is pretty good. The same thing happened with Logan dying and X-23 becoming the new Wolverine. But with this new Marvel Legacy event I guess everything is being reset, again, over at Marvel.
At least Wally West got a great two-parter in Convergence and is really good in The Titans. I haven't seen Kyle Rayner in forever along with my guilty pleasure hero Guy Gardener (he's dumb but so much fun). It seems like DC only cares about Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz now as GLs.

Really...that's too bad. I think Earth has too many lanterns
The Green Lantern is more of a job as a 'space police officer' rather than a Superhero name. (except for Allen Scott)
Besides, if a police force in a city get quite a few new recruits, surely a planet would provide recruits to a lantern corp.

There is only supposed to be one Lantern per sector.... according to the classic lore... Earth has what 6? All centered on Earth.

Maybe.... but I don't see other Lanterns working sectors together.... Earth being our planet, we obviously get more adventures

Too many Green Lanterns at least. I think it would be a nice change of pace if there was a Red Lantern, Star Sapphire, or Indigo Tribesman instead. They have different ways of doing things and that would have much more story potential. Imagine if the mayor of Gotham City ordered that every inmate at Arkham at to be "medicated" via the Indigo compassion and Batman objects. But what can he do? Fight city hall?
