...She can fold her knees up. That's just beautiful. No matter how you make those joints, they work well. Especially that the transitions are so smooth, looks so natural.
And she does look vulnerable! Another thing I like about her, she's so expressive. (great "collab" there with model and photographer!)

Thank you:) I think that the smooth transitions in this case are more a trick of the photography than anything else.. picking the right angle and so on.. the joints are actually quite jarring from some angles. My next work is a lot smoother, I learned a lot from this first one.

Now I see the back looks a little odd... (but then, less odd than other constructions, the only commercial dolls that seem to bend like that and still look good are those Pukipuki) Will be interesting to see the next doll then :)

But I think these are the most natural-looking I've seen so far; they might need tweaking, but they're following the expected form of a body already.
