In English we call it 'Liquid Paraffin' and it is the basis for many cosmetics and (in a slightly heavier form) it is the main constituent of 'Vaseline'. Don't confuse it with the kind of paraffin (kerosene) that you put in lamps and heaters, that is quite a different thing.
