Recently, Ian Flynn announced that his created Archie Sonic characters - which includes Conquering Storm, Coral, and Eclipse - will not be part of IDW Sonic comics which are still a go for April 2018 starting with 4 weekly issues before going on a monthly basis effective May 2018. Though still no word if Sally Acorn and the Freedom Fighters will be part of IDW Sonic, though we might get word from Ian and Sega in a month or two (Stay tuned).
This is mainly Ian not bringing back his characters because he decided to start new. The Freedom Fighters are Sega's creation, however, the IDW series could see Sega calling the shots a lot more, so if Sally and the other Freedom Fighters are not in the comics, it's basically because Sega told them they cannot be in the comic.
But I want Sally Acorn and the Freedom Fighters to be part of IDW Sonic after its April 2018 relaunch! Just like some blamed on Ken "Lara-Su Chronicles" Penders we could maybe blame on Ian Flynn next...
Can I do a net petition for IDW and Sega to support Sally Acorn in IDW Sonic 2018 launch comic books (maybe a second title calling it Sonic SAT AM 1993) and have Sega put Sally Acorn in future Sonic video games.
