I wonder how they did not notice the shadows being off in the second panel. Huntmaster Thorn's shadow is to the right (as if the sun is to the west of the panel) while the rest of the pack has their shadows above (as if the sun is to the south of the panel). In the third panel, the shadows flip on the rest of the pack to normal. Just thought I'd point this out since its a tiny bit distracting. Its very minor though and doesn't affect the comic much 
Sun is coming from the east and the horse's head faces east. 2nd panel the sun would be at the bottom left of the panel. 3rd panel, the camera has rotated, so the sun is now coming from upper left.
