Yeah, that's a good point. How did Sally betraying the team cause the world to go to shit? I'm curious to see how you expand on this and what answer you give. ^^

Best guess: Mecha Sally's terrible battery life and extremely limited options for power (Seriously Eggman, what the actual fuck were you thinking) resulted in her death, leading to one of her friends that actually could somehow bring the world to ruin (So pretty much just Sonic, Tails, or Nicole) to snap and do the actual damage.

Worst guess: Ian's just as bad as Pontaff and assumes that Sonic losing would instantly defeat everyone else, so Mecha Sally killed him purely by luck and the rest of the cast folded like wet paper.

The traitor subplot was stupid anyway. There's a traitor in the original FF lineup, but nobody considers Tails, who was there before Bunnie (Whom Silver accused in 235 even though she wasn't on the list) and at two separate points wielded godlike power before his twelth birthday, and has had a... difficult life, shall we say? Then it gets dumber when it's revealed that Mogul is Silver's mentor because Mogul would've been alive to see who did it, but doesn't just tell Silver who it was.

Heroes dying.... friends turning evil.... society crumbling.... You wouldn't happen to be related to :iconwankers-cramp: would you? :p

TBH, I didn't like the whole traitor subplot either since it frequently made Silver look like a doofus. But I have to work with the material available and I want to give a proper resolution to this plotline for fans who do like Silver's part in the story.

Haha, no. In fairness, the betrayal and society crumbling were Ian's creations, and the deaths were sorta implied. I'm way more about redemption than the opposite, even if the numbers are still in the single digits, and in all honesty, I don't think a the "friends turning evil" thing was ever done well. Geoff's was almost there, it was kinda believable that the guy who'd been a bit of a dickwad since day 1 could turn out to be a bad guy, until it turned out he was just depressed and angry and lashing out at the people he thought had gotten his wife killed. The less said about the Fiona's knee-jerk transformation into some sort of weird Hot Topic bimbo, the better.

They could've gone a smarter route and established that the whole thing was the result of destroyed historical records, and even used that to expand the list of suspects (Is the oldest surviving record of the FF conveniently from their first year, or a much later one? Is it just the original five, or should we look at Bunnie, Amy, Nicole,Knuckles, Julie-Su, and the rest of the Chaotix? What if it includes temporary or former members like Dulcy, Mina and Fiona?), had Mogul not be there to be a plothole, and have Silver be slightly less dumb about it, like trying to work out why one of these otherwise heroic people would suddenly act against their friends. Instead, he has no concept of nicknames and thus Rotor is evil.
Talking with Mogul across time damn Silver has been pract
