Good to hear no one has bothered you this way. It can really be discouraging, especially for someone just starting and unprepared, even to the point of giving up creating anything altogether.

Maybe it's indeed because of avoiding OCs, or maybe it's just that just drama likes me (you sure remember me, ranting about my works stolen some time earlier). Who knows :D

Drama sucks. I avoid it now. I did a LOT of drama on the net in the past (cringes at old self) but now I avoid it like the plague and keep myself low key. I faced a lot of harsh comments in the past, and they can hit home

I know I am going to get a discouraging comment one day, and I am not looking forward to it. I am pretty sensitive.

It's entirely different when the critic is a constructive one. Something like "your plot is too predictable," or "your ocs eyes are not on the same level" are fine, maybe not nice to receive but they help you to improve. However,  things like "your story/ oc sucks" directed at you only to make you feeling hurt are devastating at times. You can see how stupid/ pointless are they, or that the person who wrote them is envious/et cet... yet, they still can hit to the core. No one likes their works to be hated.

Actually, I keep away from drama as much as I can, but sometimes, like now, it just finds me on its own xD All what I did was blocking these individuals, so they would not send me any notes again.  Actually, I pity these people. They appear to be so possessive about a fictional charrie, that I can imagine their reaction when they encounter another OC, this time clearly paired up with him, ha ha :D

Yes, constructive criticism is different, but sadly it is a minority, in my experience. When you have people pleasing tendencies it is even worse, I feel.

I think it is really emotionally immature to get that possession of a fictional character and get jealous
