Well when I see the American flag I now think of that first thing. In Britain they also do the first thing, and in Austria, Hungary, Poland the Czech Republic.
Like I said...that's the problem. Nations thinking it's them against the world. There is nothing wrong with national pride or delight in one's cultural roots but the world doesn't exist in a vacuum anymore...or shouldn't.
