I'm not really sure what you mean by dynamics, but if you've done a lot of post then of course it's not going to be so easy to merge-in spot renders. I guess that would only work if you discover the mistakes at the raw stage. I do little global postwork so it's not much of a problem for me. I agree, though, that it's fine to leave it as it is—I would do the same.
