[Clan Backstory]
Redcloud was born into a clan called StormClan, and was given the name Redkit. His father was the leader and his name was Redstar, and his mother was an ordinary warrior named Reedfeather. He was named after his father, since they shared the same personality and fur color. They both died from greencough (fever) during leafbare (winter) when he was only an apprentice (6 months old (his name is now Redpaw)). The deputy, Sunflower, who was also his mentor, claimed leadership and became Sunstar. She chose a cat named Solclaw to become deputy. Once Redpaw was old enough to become a warrior, Sunstar gave him his warrior name, Redcloud, honoring his white spots on his backside. A few months later, the deputy, Solclaw, was killed in a rockslide. Sunstar appointed Redcloud to be deputy. Since she trained him and admired his loyalty, she decided that he was a great choice. Redcloud soon fell in love with a Turkish Angora named Maplefrost. She was the daughter of Sunstar and Birchfall. She had a stuck-up attitude. (If you've read the warriors series, you can compare her to Sandstorm). Maplefrost was the first to reach out to him. They started to go hunting together, and hangout all of the time. Eventually, Maplefrost became pregnant with one kit (kitten). Her name was Sunkit.
