Unfortunately Photoshop Time-lapses take a lot more time to make, and also slows my computer down quite a bit when painting and recording at the same time
ProCreate is much simpler since almost everything is automated. But I understand that they can also be more boring since the image just appears and it doesn't show the workflow in its entirety.
