If the mecha suits are agile enough they could potentially dodge the 4 plasma cannons since they are attached to the sides and don't look like they're gimballed, critical design flaw that the enemy forces can use against it.

welp true~ Also, the Coalition being the gigantic airbags they are, they like to boast about their stuff, despite major flaws. But then, theres always some experienced fighters that knows how to exploit weaknesses and stuff. (The coalition then continues to manufacture more of their cheap bots anyways)
