I carved one scale out of sheet styrene, then molded it, cast half dozen, molded those, until I have three gang molds of about 30 scales and keep casting and gluing them on in alternating rows. A time consuming pain in the ass, but it 's generally worth the effort for the effect.
Holy cow! Noted sir. Yeah I'm doing a custom Vintage Marrina from Alpha Flight for a customer, and the scales are beating my arse. Thanks for the tip Maestro!
